Design Approach
PWA was commissioned to re-activate an existing commercial building as the permanent home for a meditation center serving a diverse community. Our design, which culminated from a multi-year stakeholder-engagement, property search and programming effort, creates an inviting and vibrant place which fosters liberation, personal and interpersonal healing, social action, and inclusive community building. The center will provide a wide array of meditation and mindfulness programs in spaces designed to maximize accessibility and flexibility, support in-person and high-quality hybrid programming, and promote occupant well-being.
